UKC CH EMILY POOCH
11 inch 12.5 pound Tan Sable
Our "Little Miss Manners" comes from a family full of color.. Her red sable coloring comes from her father High Sierra Half-Pint, a red mini and her mother High Sierra Pebbles, a black tri. She is full sister to Shirley Rouse's stud High Sierra Jigger. She is a tight little dog, full of solid muscles. She is a Champion of Merit with the National Rat Terrier Association and is in the book Ratter Chatter By Anne Blair.
Spring 2003 Emily was retired from show and breeding. In her retirement she has become the companion of Barbara Groff, her new owner. Emily gets to play with her daughter Cookie and a toy chocolate rat named Pixie.
Before moving to Barbara's home, Emily spent time traveling to work with Julia and sitting under her desk until those wonderful breaks and LUNCH when they both get to see and smell the sites of downtown Seattle. Emily loves to keep your feet warm while you work. She is a real sweety with children. Emily loves to join the family for runs on the beach which is 4 miles from her home. She loves to climb, and has been known to go up trees like a monkey after those pesky squirrels. When she is on the hunt she is the type of dog that not only uses her nose but tracks with her eyes, too. Sometimes when you look out at her you wonder what she is pondering.... and then you see the bird or squirrel move in the trees. She is a snuggle bug in bed who thinks the pillow is hers...... And sometimes she even gets away with it.
