Molly Bahrbearian prefers them whole - no seasoning necessary. Who knows how many rats this Rat has killed. She rules the roost at the Bahr Farm.
She rats in the morning, she rats at night - out in the field, or being the heroine, protecting her layer hens from these low-life varmints. She loves to rat while Rex is out cutting the field. He stirs them up and she whips them to death. It's a deadly game, but she enjoys's it.
Hanna prefers to bird hunt in a 9-foot honey suckle bush. She climbs to the top and sends the birds a flyin' with her siren-like voice for Spud Buddy and Molly to chime in and chase the birds to their next "temporary" perch. Hanna is our petite Rat and tends to leave the bigger business to the larger Rats. The larger Rats can't climb bushes, however.
Spud Buddy just nailed a rat out in the chicken coop. Molly flushed the rat out from under the stone step and into the coop where Spud Buddy was anxiously awaiting the kill. Before said little rat could dart behind the feed bin, Spud Buddy made his move. The rat didn't know what hit it. Molly, at that time, chose to steal the deceased rat and carry it off for a proper goodbye dinner.
They're a proud bunch, a rather wild bunch.
Spud Buddy has 6 confirmed rat kills, but we know the notches on his collar show a great deal more. Molly, however, has a disgusting way of destroying her/his evidence. Believe us, they don't digest well.
Spud Buddy also has a record of two rooster kills (not ours - we hate trespassers!). Good boy! But that's another story...........
